The carrier will offer no-cost quick onboard connectivity through satellite agreement

Passengers flying with British Airways will soon access quick wifi during flights free of charge following a new agreement involving SpaceX's satellite firm.

Complimentary plus Quick Wifi for All

The airline stated that this no-cost, “fast and dependable” internet offering through the satellite provider becomes available for passengers in economy, business, and first class from the coming month.

Widespread Rollout Throughout Various Flight Operators

The umbrella company of British Airways, the airline group, announced it had secured an agreement with SpaceX to offer wifi coverage for more than 500 jets operated by the group's carriers, such as the Irish airline, Iberia, and the low-cost airline.

Seamless Wifi starting at Boarding to Landing

British Airways noted that the implementation for the service was included in a multi-billion pound “modernization” program that will deliver uninterrupted wifi access for passengers from the gate through landing, also when in flight above oceans and isolated areas.

Customers will be able to link multiple devices and they will not need a separate login.

Existing Connectivity Offerings

Restricted connectivity access remains offered to BA travelers on nearly all of its jets via their .air system.

Enrollees of BA’s frequent flyer program can send texts plus plain-text messages onboard free of charge, whereas flyers looking to watch audio, movies, or movies on their travel who are not travelling in first class can expect to be charged between £4.99 to £21.99 per connectivity package.
